About Us

Our upcoming 14th edition is dedicated to the memory of William Bennett OBE (1936–2022) - "Wibb" - one of the greatest flutists of his generation, a beloved teacher, and a dear friend of this festival from its earliest days.

Wibb gave gala concerts and masterclasses here across the years, and his artistry continues to inspire the annual William Bennett Singapore Award. In 2027, his students and friends gather from around the world in a celebration of his sound, his teaching and his spirit with their personal stories and inspiration.

Look out for a very special and unique Wibb Exhibition during this festival, a collection of memorabilia, photos, and tributes from the fans of Wibb!

Thank you for all your hard work in organizing and running the festival. Although most of my group have now returned home, they were deeply moved by the truly wonderful experience they had in Singapore. Pupils of various levels and their families took part, and I believe everyone was thoroughly satisfied and had a truly memorable experience that will stay with them for the rest of their lives. That, for me, is the greatest source of joy.

I imagine it must have taken a great deal of effort and hard work on your part, Mr Goh, to bring such an event to fruition. Thank you so very much for providing us with such a wonderful experience. All the best. Kazu
